AVC University is governed by a Board of Trustees of 11–17 members appointed by AVC partners. Each member of the Board serves a 4-year term, except half of the inaugural members who shall serve 3-year terms. Among other roles, the Board shall hold fiduciary responsibility to the University and be involved with institutional fundraising and strategic planning for the institution. The Board shall appoint the university president and relinquish significant amounts of its power and authority to the president. These are the inaugural members of the Board of Trustees:
